Depart from Poreč in the morning for a scenic drive through the beautiful Istrian countryside. On the way to Hum, we will make a special stop in Poreč to visit the only legal urban apiary in Croatia, a project run jointly by the local beekeeping association and the city. Here, you’ll learn about urban beekeeping and see the hives up close.
Continue the journey to Hum, officially the smallest town in the world. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour through the charming medieval streets, learning about Hum’s history, local traditions, and unique legends.
After the guided visit, you will have some free time to take photos and explore the town at your own pace. Guests may also choose to visit the Aura Museum, which presents everyday life in the past — showing how people lived in places like Hum, the types of businesses they ran, and the traditional tools and objects they used in their daily work.
The excursion then continues with a short drive to a traditional Istrian konoba, where a relaxed lunch awaits. Enjoy a delicious homemade meal accompanied by local drinks while a live accordion player creates a warm and cheerful atmosphere.
In the afternoon, after a pleasant gathering filled with good food, music, and authentic Istrian hospitality, the group returns to Poreč, arriving approximately between 16:00 and 17:00.
This excursion offers a perfect combination of culture, history, gastronomy, and local tradition in the heart of Istria.
